  • Concerts in the Kirk

We are delighted to announce the Autumn 2011 and Spring 2012 Series of concerts being held in the historic Dalmeny Kirk, Dalmeny. These special evenings of Words and Music by candlelight feature a two-course served dinner with wine, followed by a marvellous concert, held in the beautiful Norman-period church.
  • Dalmeny Kirk

The Kirk is the focal point of Dalmeny village and is one of the best-preserved Norman Parish churches in Scotland. It was built in the early 12th century and has 17th century additions, with the tower constructed in 1937.
  • Historic Architecture

The main entrance to the church is on the south elevation where its bestiary carvings and Romanesque columns are of particular architectural merit and are widely documented. The churchyard contains a variety of graves and monuments with the earliest dating from 1678.
  • By Candlelight

Each concert is set by candelight, creating an exclusive ambience within this intimate space. The candelabras have been custom designed for this series of concerts and are in suitable keeping with the history of the sanctuary.
